Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking was one of the smartest people to ever grace this green earth. When Stephen Hawking was 21 he was told that he had just a few years to live. These few years turned out to be some great 58 years of life. Hawking was born in Oxford, England, on January 8, 1942. He was born on the 300th anniversary of the death of astronomer and physicist Galileo Galilei. He had 12 honorary degrees and was awarded the CBE in 1982. Despite being a British citizen he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, The USA’s highest civilian honor in 2009. When Hawking died, he left behind 3 kids and 3 grandkids. He demonstrated that no matter how your body functions or what life throws your way,  you can still live a full life. Before Stephen Hawking passed away he guest-starred on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “The Simpsons”. His life was also dramatized in the 2014 movie, “The Theory of Everything.”
