Blade Runner

The movie Blade Runner takes place in 2019 in Los Angeles, California. A blade runner’s job is to hunt replicants. Blade runners or any officers are not replicants. Replicants are artificial humans that look identical to humans but the only way to tell the difference is a certain test. The Voight-Kampff test will ask replicants a series of questions that don’t quite make sense to you if your not a human. This is a classic “cop tries to get bad guy” movie but with a striking twist that the bad guy is hunting the cop. Not all replicants are bad and most of them are actually used for labor and work. The question is, “Does the cop, Deckard, get the bad-guy replicant or does the bad-guy get the cop?” This is also a movie not just about replicants and humans but about how technology affects everything around us.The actors who played in the movie are Harrison Ford, Sean young, Rutger Hauer, and Edwards James Olmos. They are the main characters and they play the biggest roles in the movie.

On a scale of 1 to 10 it is a 9.5 ¬†because it goes so deep into the theme of sci-fi and the future, but they don’t go over the top. The movie was made in 1987, and yet the graphics were incredible. One of the main reason people liked this movie because of how the CGI and graphics affected the whole viewing experience. Harrison Ford did a fantastic job with this movie – he is what made it most enjoyable for me. The company Tyrell designed replicants for many reasons, but the main reason is they were made to be an invisible workforce that couldn’t die out. Thinking that people in 1987 would think of robotic humans was pretty incredible because they weren’t wrong nor were they right. This movie is still one of my favorites and I very much recommend it for people who are into futuristic movies. ¬†¬†
